in honor of today being the 30th anniversary of the start of mtv, i thought i would devote #musicmonday to mtv. i was living in chicago when mtv first started back on 8/1/81 and chicago at that time didn’t have cable tv (yikes!), so i was unable to see the first hour(s) of the network. i can recall though what the first video i saw on mtv was.
